Down to Earth Fall Colors

Let’s walk.

Don’t think you’ll have regrets.

For motivation, we’ll look for fall colors.

We won’t go to a Maple-forest.

We won’t look for Maple red, orange or light green.

We’ll look for ultra-marine blue.

Blue is a fall color.

Don’t believe me? Blue’s not a fall color?

It is.

In a prairie…with Showy Gentian.

It’s worth the effort.

Showy gentian…possibly the most magnificent of prairie flowers.

Trumpet shaped blossoms stand in sharp contrast to prairie neighbors.

Showy gentian seed is flat, near the size of a flake of pepper.

This walk for fall color never disappoints.

Even one blossom-memorable.
