"That Time"

“That time” has a name.

Easter.

Not the day of bunnies and eggs.

The day of false accusations, mock trials, scourging, beatings, ridicule and…

Crucifixion.

“That time” has a key person.

God in flesh, Jesus Christ.

He had done nothing wrong. He was without sin.

“That time” HE became sin.

He took lies, hatred, murder, adultery and immorality-all the sins of the human race.

HE loved us so much HE was willing to die for us.

Then-Now.

After that time” God wrote His commandments in the hearts of all who believe.

AND

Our sins?

Erased.

Forever.

“That time.”

THAT EASTER.

15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First, he says:

16 “This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.”

17 Then he adds:

“Their sins and lawless acts
    I will remember no more.”

18 And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.
