I Am Willing

It was a fatal disease-leprosy.

You die slowly, paralysis in hands-feet…

…skin, nerves damaged. You become an outcast.

You are contagious. No one wants your company.

You were to call out, “UNCLEAN!” People knew to stay away-from you.

Leprosy took your life one friend, one cell at a time.

You hear about Jesus. He heals people.

The more you hear, the more you believe.

He can heal me.

It’s hard to move but you go to where he will pass by.

Instead of “Unclean” you call out “You can make me clean!”

He touches you, and says: “I am willing.”

“When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
