There is a Season...

He said, “What happened to all these beetles?”

They were dead, lying on the ground.

It’s the season for June Beetles.

With eggs laid in the soil, adults die.

It is the season, eggs live on.

It is the season for the beautiful Columbine…

In Latin, Aquilegia canadensis

a favorite of Ruby-Throated Hummingbirds.

Beauty filled blossoms-found at forest edges…

and in the gardens of those who delight in their short-lived glory.

It’s the season for Wild Columbine.

A few more days it’s blossoms will only be a sweet memory.

There is a season for everything.

Every season, God ordered.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…Ecclesiastes 3:1
