Thunder In Marvelous Ways

It has not thundered for months.

Yet, there has been thunder.

Did you hear it?

Not thunder and lightning thunder, greater thunder.

Three days the barometer fell: 30.78, 30.25, 29.94.

Two days the wind blew,

First from the southeast, the next day the northwest… gusting, blustering, roaring.

Unmistakable,

Visible power,

Humans could only forecast, observe, stay clear if possible.

Ringneck Pheasant

Birds knew.

Pheasants feeding, eating gravel hours before in cold sunshine.

There was no thunder, but there was.

It's a Hen!

One winter storm, powerful wind,

accumulating snow, bringing deep cold.

It thundered.

Didn’t hear it?

Look…see,

Know the work of God’s hand.

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; he does great things beyond our understanding.

He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’

So that everyone he has made may know his work, he stops all people from their labor. Job 37:5-7
