4 Riddles

Do you like riddles? I do when I can solve them. I have 4 nature riddles for you. Here we go!

1.       What has scales, flies and sips nectar?

I’ll give you the answer…after you have read all 4. here’s number 2:

2.       It does not have fingers, but it has a sense of touch.

My guess is you know already…but here is number 3- this one is harder:

3.       It has no bones. It’s black body is made of a type of glucose, a sugar based material.

One more and I will tell you:

4.       This living thing is part of a very large animal family. Biologists think there are over 17,000 different kinds in the world. There are about 750 in North America.

5.       Bonus question: In what part of the world would we find the most different kinds?

Answer to the riddle: A Black Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly.

Answer to the bonus question: in the world’s tropical regions where it is always warm with flower blossoms.

At first the butterfly did not seem concerned about me. The longer I stayed…and I did not “chase” the butterfly, I stayed in one place…the more wary and cautious it became. My advice to you when you see one-stand still and watch it.
