His Name? Hope

4 Again, I observed all the oppression that takes place under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, with no one to comfort them. The oppressors have great power, and their victims are helpless. 2 So I concluded that the dead are better off than the living. 3 But most fortunate of all are those who are not yet born. For they have not seen all the evil that is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 4:1-3

Was he having a bad day?

Did the wisest, richest man ever have a bad day?

It’s true. Yes, there’s evil in the world.

How many countless tears have been shed because of evil?

Yes, there is oppression…there are uncountable victims-alive and departed.

But life is a gift.

There is hope, Solomon.

God, the ONE who gave Solomon wisdom, gives life.

God gives hope, creates hope, everlasting hope.

“And His name will be the hope of all the world.”

The HOPE of all the world! He sees oppression, evil-every tear EVER shed, loves all helpless.

He loves even oppressors.

Jesus.
