16 “To what can I compare this generation? It is like children playing a game in the public square. There’s nothing new in this life.
What has been done will be repeated. Human behavior is predictable, unchanging.
Our memories are short, we are easily fooled.
Once fooled we stubbornly refuse to change our minds.
Have we honestly considered John the Baptist? Then there is Jesus Christ.
Centuries ago, they dismissed both men. John’s message-unbelievable…he’s scruffy wild.
Jesus?
“Can’t trust a drunk. Besides, he’s a glutton. And he hangs out with tax collectors.”
