See the King?

 From the book of Hebrews:

“For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking. It has been testified somewhere,

“What is man, that you are mindful of him,
or the son of man, that you care for him?
You made him for a little while lower than the angels;
you have crowned him with glory and honor,[
a]
putting everything in subjection under his feet.”

Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.”

Hebrews 2:5-9

My friend-Are you paying attention?

Consider these three words from Hebrews 2 verse 1. They provide us with clear instructions. They also enable us to evaluate the condition of our current state of attention. Let's review them first. The words are "more careful attention." In context, we are to give more careful attention to Jesus. Now-Separate them. They become more powerful.

More-as in added, extra, increased, fresh, and longer.

Careful-as in mindful, aware, and deliberate.

Attention-as in study, contemplate, think of, investigate.

Do a quick self-check. How’s your attention to Jesus today?

Let’s call this today's #One: pay more care attention to Jesus.

Now for the second. The verses for today provide a major fact: there is NOTHING not subject to Jesus. He is "crowned" by God the Father with "glory and honor." Look at this fact with this in mind: Jesus Christ is King of Kings. You and I are subject to Him. Don’t become nervous. Jesus is the great and best King.

+We are under the authority of Jesus every moment with every breath.

+Subject to Jesus also means whether we remember or not-we are dependent upon Him. We would perish without the unseen things He does for us at every moment.

Let’s call this today's #Two- Everything is under the authority of Jesus.

Which brings us to: Today's #Three-a question. How do we "SEE" Jesus today?

Before everything-Seeing Jesus is the most important thing we do today. Maybe ask Him to enable you to "Pay more careful attention."

You can bow to Jesus.

After all He is the King.
