Merry Christmas!
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
We celebrate Christmas at the end of December.
But, does not matter what the exact date of the birth of Jesus is.
What does matter is the truth.
Jesus WAS born.
God gave us His Son.
Let me say that again.
Slowly.
God GAVE Us His Son.
Is there a greater gift?
At Christmas, the Son of God came to earth.
Shepherds came and worshipped Him.
Wise men saw His star, found Him and gave Him gifts.
In those days most lived and died and never knew of the birth of Jesus.
But Jesus did not come to live and die in obscurity.
Twelve disciples knew who He was.
After the cross and the death of Jesus the disciples set the world on fire.
No longer could they see Him, for he had ascended into heaven. Yet, they lived for Him.
Jesus IS the Savior of the world who died for our sins they taught. And they all died for him.
Jesus IS.
He is alive, He has risen.
He is the truth, He is the way, He is the life!
Again-Jesus IS!
And He is forever.
This Christmas there are still those who will live and die and never know who Jesus is.
Not as many as that first Christmas…today, most of the world has heard of Him.
One day, all will know Him and the world will be perfectly governed in total wisdom and love-by Him.
Jesus is the greatest gift!
Today, you and I know about Him
He alone is:
Wonderful Counselor! Mighty God!
Everlasting Father!
Perfect Prince of Peace!
