Every Eye Will See Him

The inhabitants of northern climate expect the annual arrival of temperatures cold enough to form ice. They know it will return before winter. The return of ice is an annual event.

There is a one time event coming. No human knows the day or time-but God does. Just as predictable as the return of ice, this event will happen. It is much more significant than ice. God is in control of both-ice and the second coming of Jesus Christ to earth.

““Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced Him...”

Revelation 1:7a

That’s right…all people will see God’s salvation-Jesus.

One day Jesus will return to earth. No exceptions; every human living will see His return. We won’t get into the weeds with a discussion of how this will be-the fact remains-every eye will see Him.

Luke quotes Isaiah 40:3-5…

“A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.””

Luke is clear, “All people will see God’s salvation…” We are wise to consider this-Jesus is God’s salvation. He will return to earth.

There are two ways to see Him. As Savior and Friend or as Condemning Judge.

Believe it or not. Like it or not-let’s repeat the fact-Jesus will return to earth. When He does, every person on earth will see Him. There are only two options God will give. For those who believe in Him there is eternal salvation. For those who do not, eternal condemnation. This is a permanent fact…no negotiation, no exemptions…why?-because God is over all.

Imagine seeing Jesus coming “with the clouds.” On a day yet to come, Jesus will be back. For those who choose unbelief, there will be deep sadness and regret. There will be no second chance. For those who choose to believe there will be indescribable joy. They will welcome Jesus as Savior and friend.

Keep an eye on the clouds…while there is still time.

It is best to be ready.

Call it eternal preparation.
