What? Aliens in the Woods?

Keep watching? Does it really produce surprises? Absolutely! While standing at the edge of a woods, my eyes picked up what appeared to be a large white ball just laying on the ground. Hey! It’s a giant puffball! Looking further there was another but this one was larger. Beyond that was a mammoth puffball. These are fabulous fungi!

My eyes picked up movement on a cucumber leaf. No sound, just movement. There it was-an insect I’d never seen before. Wow…my next thought was get a picture. But my camera was in the house. Then my enthusiasm dropped. It will not be there when I return. It was. A Squash Vine Borer…imagine, it’s a moth!
