25,000 Touch Receptors

Besides skin, we have 10.

We have 10- touch receptors…our finger tips…

A small mammal slightly larger than a mouse may be the most touch sensitive mammal on earth.

Welcome Star-nosed mole.

Its nose-an on-board food GPS…this little mole has 22 feeler rays around its nose.

“Eew…you say, looks weird.”

Get over it…see the miracle.

What’s that you ask? Every little tentacle on the Star-nosed mole nose has feeler receptors.

Not one…about 25,000 are found-on each tentacle!

There is more.

Each tentacle, with 25,000 receptors has 3 types of touch: texture, electronic field, and scent.

Infinite wonder is God’s forte.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
