Giving Orders to Morning

Ever told morning what to do?

Ordering morning is above human authority and power.

Not above God’s.

God’s order this morning was-

Cool air, 30 degrees Fahrenheit, south wind under 10 mph.

Comfortable out of wind, not in wind.

Clouds above, snow-dust covering earth.

Deer, turkey and coyote tracks in this wild place.

The sky held snow geese flocks, northern harrier and 4 southbound prairie chickens.

Earthbound rooster pheasants called north, east and southwest.

The return walk produced three waving deer tails, later, half mile distant, a herd of ten.

Ever told morning what to do?

God does it best.

“Have you ever given orders to the morning, or shown the dawn its place...?” Job 38:12
