The Eyes of God

Eyes are living sight mechanisms.

Complex, intricate instruments of vision.

Composed of individual, sophisticated elements …

Pupil, lens, cornea, vitreous humor…

Macula, fovea, optic nerve, retina…

Iris, sclera, ten in all.

The combination forms a unit.

Every human given two eyes.

Each eye with optic nerves…

1 million fibers per eye.

2 million in both eyes…

Our brains process each one.

Miraculous living color sight tools.

Indescribable, incomprehensible, sight…a gift...

God is the creator of the eye.

Can we explain God’s eyes?

Always on us…

Eternal…

All powerful…

Everywhere present…

All knowing…

Delivering those who fear Him.

But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 33:18-19

A bird’s eye is superior to the human eye. This male downy woodpecker had its eye on the camera.

The eyes of birds have more than double the photo receptors of the human eye. A House Sparrow, similar in size to this Downy has 400,000 photo receptors. Humans have half…200,000.

The Downy Woodpecker female. The male and this female, likely his mate, took turns at the suet.

The male did not always wait for the female to finish her turn at the suet. He had a short wait time!

Eyes on the goal…heading for another round of suet. Human or bird…eyes are from God…and God’s eyes are on those who fear Him.
