Walking here required great alertness.

The hillside was covered. None at the top, none on the east side of the hill, only the west side. This is where the afternoon sun warms the earth. This slope provides a view of the sunset. The Pasque flowers only grow on the west slope. It must be ideal. Did I say the west slope was covered? It was difficult to walk without stepping on lavender blossoms...yet,no petals were bent or crushed.
