Quiet Waters...and Peace

This was peaceful.

Today, it was necessary to take my mind away from the events occurring in our nation.

My mind needed some peace, my soul, some refreshing.

Found it outside…on water.

At first the wind blew from the southwest. As the sun neared the horizon the wind dropped. Mirror images of the sky on water sooth the soul.

 

God has been on my mind a lot today.

 

This evening there is peace. Even though things are undecided.

 

When we keep our minds fastened to God…

 

He never leaves us.

 

He gives us peace.

 

He is our good Shepherd.

 

He leads us to quiet waters.

 

The water the rings were not visible to me when I took the photo. Quiet waters are God’s work.

His Word is proof.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

Psalm 23:2

The water is deep marine blue with November sunshine on it. My worries did not go away, they were shuffled to the back of the line by the beauty of a Minnesota Lake in November. This is no challenge for God. He does it without our asking…when we spend time in His creation.
