Space Adventure-Go to Bed Early
Got it?
Go to bed early.
You need a reason, I know.
It is so you can have an adventure. (I already told you-remember?)
Kids and adults need adventures…you can go to bed early the next night and catch up on sleep you missed.
So go to bed early…then get up an hour before sunrise.
Go outside for the adventure.
For this adventure there must be no clouds.
It’s a space adventure.
You do not need a spaceship…or a space suit. (Even though some of you might like them.)
You do need place where there is no light reflection. If you live in a city or town…go out of town. Go to a place away from light reflection in the sky from the lights of the city. Find an of the road parking place.
Get out of the car…face south. Can’t find south? Look for the brightest star in the sky. An hour before sunrise Sirius will be found in the southeastern sky. Next look upward slowly…look for 3 stars that slant away from Sirius upward into the sky. These three are the belt of Orion the Hunter.
Orion the Hunter is visible in the early morning for those in the northern hemisphere. An hour before sunrise it is majestic, gigantic, to me breath taking.
You need an adventure.
Go to bed early.
Get up early…look for Orion.
One more thing…if you go out of town-you may hear some wonderful night sounds.
