What a Word

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

What a word. Three letters small. Includes you, me, everyone.

All.

He did not exclude any person, place or sickness. All.

He instilled truth. He announced God as Creator, Savior. All.

He had compassion on them. He sympathized. Was concerned, kind.

Are you harassed? That’s stressed. Under pressure, worried? All are.

Are you helpless? That’s vulnerable. It’s weak, dependent. All are.

Jesus was their Shepherd. He touched, wept for, healed them.

All. Every village, place people lived. Healed disease, sickness.

There’s no one like Jesus. Then. Now. Ever. Perfect Savior.

Wanted you to know. He still heals. He’s still Lord.

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7
