They do not please God.
He does not desire them…
even though they are required.
Then.
He said-
…the words that changed eternity for every …
…man, woman, and child:
“Here I am.
I have come to do your will.”
The Son of God set aside sacrifices with HIS WORDS
“Here I AM.”
He completed what God’s law required.
He came.
He became THE sacrifice.
His act set aside the first.
Once for all.
He gave His holiness to all who believe.
“Here I Am.”
That’s love.
Hebrews 10:8-10 (NIV)
8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
