The Best Way to Eliminate Injustice

It’s impossible to lose your heart, isn’t it? Life depends on the heart beating at this moment within our body. There is another heart…not the physical, but the courage and resolve of our spirit. Injustice may cause us to lose our spiritual heart. What comes next is to be discouraged. To lose heart can result in giving up. When we lose heart, we quit trying. This is about eliminating discouragement caused by injustice.

There is a way that works.

What lack of justice discourages you now? Have you prayed about it? Jesus counsels us today, “Keep praying, do not lose heart.” That’s the answer Jesus gives us when we face injustice-pray. Jesus isn’t turning His back on us. When we pray about injustice, Jesus assures us He hears.

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For a while he refused, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming.’” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you; he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Luke 18:1-8

So, what injustice has you discouraged? Believe Jesus. We should “always pray and not lose heart.” God has His eyes on us. When we seek Him in prayer, His ears are “open” to our prayers. He see the injustice. He has the power to deal with it.

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.”1 Peter 3:12

Have you prayed and nothing happens? Does the injustice continue? Check your heart…is there sin you’ve not asked God to forgive? Confess as King David taught in Psalm 68:18 “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened”.…take care of the sin first, then remember…

What did Jesus say? When faced with injustice as the widow was Jesus said,  “We ought always to pray and not lose heart.” Throw away doubts. Cast off the fear that evil always seems to win. God never fails to hear our prayers. The one who wrote the following words confirms that.  “Is he deaf—the one who made your ears? Is he blind—the one who formed your eyes?” Psalm 94:9

Remember the reason we can pray? Why should we never lose heart-never become discouraged because of the unjust actions of others? Because the love of Jesus is always present! It is His plan that we bring our requests regarding unfairness to Him in prayer. He knows. Jesus reminds the most effective way to eliminate injustice us to pray about it. Seems completely ineffective doesn’t it? Just the opposite. God loves justice. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. He alone can remove injustice. He asks us to pray about it. We can do that.
