Luke 2:51-52

Ever thought to what it might be like to have God living with you? You could speak with Him and hear His answer, see His lips forming words, hear Him breathing, watch Him eat… knowing constantly that He is God of the universe.

What would that be like?

Mary and Joseph could tell us.

“Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”

Luke 2:51-52

Think of it. Jesus lived with Mary and Joseph. Repeat that with different words…God lived in Mary and Joseph’s house.

Would God, who commands all children to obey their parents disobey Mary and Joseph? Would God not follow His own commands.? What would it be like if God were living in your home…everyday with you…as He did with Mary and Joseph.

If God lived in your home, or your apartment with you how would things be different?

Remember…Jesus is God.

Don’t forget, God is everywhere present. He is with you now as you scan your screen to read this blog. He is in your home-now and every day of your life the same as He is for me. In Psalm 139 we get details of this fact-there is absolutely nowhere we can be and not be in the presence of God…

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” Psalms 139:7

Find a Bible…read Psalm 139…be comforted. God is always near. His love never fails…He knows all of our big problems. He lives with us. Because He does, His wisdom and love are always available. You can whisper to Him all of you troubles…He hears everything…He is near. Just like Mary and Joseph Jesus lives with us…all the time.
