Its time for a cloud lesson.

There are three main types and 7 basic types within the three:

1.       High level: cirrus, cirrostratus, and cirrocumulus

2.       Mid-level:  altostratus and altocumulus.

3.       Low level:  stratus, and cumulus

Know why we need a cloud lesson? I have two reasons.

One-Summer clouds are magnificent in northern latitudes. Learn to be a cloud watcher and gain a delightful pastime.

Two-you can see the glory of God in clouds. Nope, I am not weird. Just repeating the words of a shepherd who became king. This shepherd had hours, days, months and years to watch the sky. His sheep were eating grass…he watched the show in the sky over his head. We can as well.

My favorite clouds are cumulonimbus.

These are the ones with lightning and thunder, even hail and strong wind. But all clouds declare God’s glory. They move. They have shape and color. They change shape and color. They are massive. Watching clouds may make you reflective…it happens to me…in those reflections God usually comes to mind.

Welcome to the June cloud show!

These photos were taken in late June at Lat: 46.29°NLon: 96.15°WElev: 1178ft. This was the location of my camera and shutter finger. I use a small telephoto lens to zoom into the clouds…you see the unseen things of the clouds that way. Below are the words of the shepherd/king…David of Israel:
