All Mine

Children say it.

Aloud…”mine.”

Mine, there is no sharing.

Mine, you can’t touch it…

can’t hold it.

Don’t think about looking at it…mine.

Adults don’t say it.

Usually.

They think it…mine.

There is no sharing.

There is no touching.

There is no borrowing.

Mine.

All “mine” has consequences.

Unhappiness, worry, loneliness, fear, and doubt…

there are more.

The idea is clear…”mine” is not the plan.

A truth thought for us…

It’s not mine…nothing is mine.

You are a steward…like me.

A steward, a caretaker, an agent,

…we are managers.

Whose is it?

To whom do all things belong?

All… God’s.

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;” Psalm 24:1
