Why Silence?

What is quiet?

Which of these fits your concept?

Is it silence?

What about noiseless?

When there is quiet, does it mean sound is inaudible?

Is soundless is the best synonym?

See this form in the original post

Is this a dead tree? Yes. Is it a bird apartment complex? Yes? Does this tree support woodpecker life? Yes.

Since it is my mind and fingers forming this idea piece…we’ll compromise.

This will be our definition of quiet:

Quiet is noiseless silence, the absence of sound.

The result…our ears, one of our primary senses after sight, discern nothing but silence.

Silence causes my ears to ring.

It is dark in this hole. But if you look carefully you can see the acorn.

Next question.

What occurs in the mind when our ears meet silence?

Silence works on the human mind.

We Americans have trouble with silence.

In silence, we are left with our thoughts.

In silence face our thoughts.

Most important question:

Who joins us in silence?

When silence surrounds us, we are not alone.

Answer? God joins us.

In silence our personal thoughts collide with God’s company.

Stillness is found when gazing down a deserted path.

The tumult of the world prevents silence from its consistent heart impact.

Surrounded by sounds-human conversation, and machines, our minds never reset.

A reset of the human mind results in an accurate awareness of reality.

It requires silence to reset our minds. What happens in a mind reset?

Silence reveals to us a universal fact-God is in control.

Is your world in turmoil?

Find a quiet place-one filled with silence.

Silence will reset your thinking…

Your worries, your fears, the troubles of life-all come into focus.

Silence brings us to a conclusion…God is in control.

This is not my idea…it comes from a much higher authority…

… “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10
